I go to college and allot of the documents my instructors post online are in word format and I can now download and view doc. Also, word is far superior to the works program I had previously. I have had this program for about 2 months and haven't incurred any problems. files form my mac.
I like having the physical disks as a back up. This is a problem with the vendors selling it. Had I known this was just a download I never would have purchased from this site. I have been using MS Office for many years and love it.
Got software for my new mac and couldn't be more satisfied with it. Have had no issues at all, it is different from older versions so there was slight a learning curve but I'm pleased.
But as has been written many times before, the MS 2008 upgrade is completely idiotic. Cheapest option was to buy Office 2008 bundle. Luckily I have iWorks now and use that instead. But I have been using Office 2004. I needed Power Point too. Buying just Word cost way more.
My purchase of Office wasn't wasted. My purchase from Amazon was great, as usual. All I wanted really was MS Word on my Mac Pro laptop. Word processing with Word 2008 is very cumbersome without the old tool bar at the top of the page for quickly choosing font size, etc.
Typical Microsoft; first thing I had to do was update the program.I will convert everything to Iword
